NEW WORK underway and the year is off to a great start with courses upcoming at St. Lawrence in two weeks

Here we are at the New Year and I can't wait to see what 2014 will bring. No resolutions, some commitment and lots to do in January, so ON we go! Thanks to online friends at www.Quiltart.com, I have chosen the focus word for my new year as "OPPORTUNITY"... and there are so many wonderful opportunities open to each of us as we approach this new year.

Adopt your own action "word" for the New Year that will help you move forward and get some solid inspiration to cruise and have some fun as you follow whichever path you choose. Drop me a line and let me know how you will approach your word by commenting here.

GOALS:

St. Lawrence College courses in the Part Time Studies Program start again the week of January 13th - have a peek at the course line-up online at www.SL.on.ca or here on the blog in the sidebar, Courses Page.

I have plenty to do as a new member of the CONNECTIONS Fibre Artists Group and have two new pieces of art work underway that have the deadline of March 1st for a finish line and delivery for an Exhibition to be held at the Wellington County Museum and Archives upstairs Gallery in April. The theme for the Exhibition is "Group of Seven" and we are to design several large pieces inspired by one of the renowned and beloved artists.

Interpretation only - not a copy and I have sketches for small areas of each of these paintings done, fabric selection and thread choices underway. A major focus for January and February. WORK LARGE is the mantra... lets see where it goes.
